Gerry Rafferty

Gerry Rafferty is a wonderful musical genius. For those of you who do not know him (I am sure most of you will, being of good taste as you are) Gerry was in a folk band with Billy Connolly in the 60's and 70's called 'The Humblebums' with hits such as 'Everybody Knows That'. After they split and Billy started out as a comedian, Gerry went on to form 'Stealers Wheel' and hits such as 'Stuck In The Middle With You'. Later Gerry started a solo career that he still carries on to this day with hits such as 'Baker Street'.
Hence I believe that he would be one of many ideal people to do a collaboration with the fruits.

Jimmy Nail
AKA- Les Wickes
Jimmy, would most definitely have to be Rough Fruit. Therefore making him an Avocado Fruit. With it's rough dark green semi hard outer casing and it's smooth and tasty pale green inside, much like Jimmy's voice. As well as being further proof that you should never judge a book by it's cover. ( or in this case a fruit by it's skin )

Stephen Rea
AKA- Tony Costello
Stephen, looking much like Leo Sayer and my friend's dad. Would have to be Fuzzy Fruit, this making him a Kiwi.

Timothy Spall
AKA- David 'Beano' Baggot
Timothy, Would have to be hairy fruit. Therefore making him a coconut, I think the picture speaks for itself.

Twenty years later they seem to have all moved on working as a roofer, a gardener, a condom vendor machine manager in a foreign land, a hotel clerk and a washed out solo artist. Till one day Tony, the former keyboard player looks at his life and decides he wants it back. Starting a desperate attempt to get them back together.
